Frieze Issue 242

Launched in 1991, Frieze is a magazine of contemporary arts and culture with a permanent gallery space in London and art fairs in London, New York, L.A and Seoul. Each issue features profiles and reportage on art and artists, exhibition reviews and cultural news from around the world.

Issue 242 celebrates the Venice Biennale for which the theme this year is 'Foreigners, Everywhere.' Inside you'll find a profile on the artist representing the UK, John Akomfrah who discusses the overdue recognition of Black British art. There's also a roundtable on Indigenous art and novelist Colm Tóibín obseves Venice through the lens of the artists and writers who have lived and worked in the city over the centuries.
